About YADA YADA NOISE

We originally started as a monthly Spoken Word Open Mic at Hull College in 2020. However due to Covid-19 we had to postpone all gatherings and events, it was here that we decided to expand the project and YADA YADA NOISE was founded.

Mission Statement

To bring creatives together to harness collaboration, support mental wellbeing and expose new and upcoming Art in the City of Hull and Yorkshire.

YADA YADA NOISE will prioritise the facilitation of collaboration between students, other creatives, and organisations. We will provide a supportive environment for people to express themselves and celebrate creativity.

Why?

The Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for more resources to aid mental health and people’s well-being.We are involved with multiple projects that are about health and wellbeing that are being run off the back of lockdown.

There needs to be more collaboration in the creative sector between young and mature artists this will build a more productive and innovative sector that harnesses multiple disciplines.

Some events and organisations leave local artists feeling under-appreciated and like a tick in the box. This is not what YADA YADA NOISE wants to achieve, we want to host podcasts and use events to create exposure for emerging and local artists and truly celebrate them.
